And they're saying if you don't pay for the service (essentially a subscription), you can't get software upgrades. But you can also pay $50-ish a month for support, which is required for software updates.


$3,000 is totally reasonable as a permanent license. Even one minute could be enough, or playback with a watermark. Feels unnecessarily stingy as a trial restriction. Though the trial, which only allows for 15 seconds of playback, may not be enough for me to judge things like playback audio sync or video stutter. Ah, EasyDCP Player+ does seem to do what I need.
